FINDING A DANCE, LESSON OR EVENT
Searching for a
particular dance, lesson or event can be a daunting task. There are literally hundreds of listings
throughout New England with changes every
day. This site does not try to list
everything but it does attempt to show those items interested to Hayloft
members and within a reasonable traveling distance of the Hayloft barn in Sturbridge Mass. We do include links to other websites
that service outside this area.
Here is how to find what
you are looking for. Below is a
listing of pages with an explanation of what to expect to find on that page. Note that a particular event may be
listed on one page and have several links from other pages pointing to it. Also, don’t forget to read the hints as
you “mouse over” any links.
Once you have found the
pages you want you can place them in your “Favorites” folder. Then you can copy or move the entries in
your favorites folder to make shortcut icons you
can use for “one click” access to those pages. Call or phone your friendly webmaster if
you have any questions and good luck at finding your event!
DANCE – This is the primary
source of information for dance parties sponsored by the Hayloft
and held at the Hayloft barn. Dances are listed for the upcoming
year. Special events are also noted
TRAVEL SCHEDULE – The Hayloft is one
of the most traveled clubs around and likes to go on banner raids. This page lists the dances we plan to
attend in the months ahead and links to more information about the
associated organization where possible.
OTHER CLUBS – This page contains a
list of clubs within a reasonable distance of the Hayloft and information
including maps, websites, schedules and special events. We schedule visits to many of these
clubs.
MISCELANIOUS EVENTS - This page
contains single events sponsored by clubs, resorts or any other
organization that sponsors a square or rouond
dancing event. Note that resorts often cater to multiple clubs/organizations
but do not have a schedule of their own per se.
ROUND DANCING – Many square dancers
are also interested in round dancing. While the Hayloft does not sponsor
any round dancing per se we do recognize the common interest and rent our
barn to round dance parties and lessons. This page contains both round dance group
schedules and special events
LESSONS – This page is
dedicated to news of interest to our newest students and those wishing to
angel. At times it will contain
information that will be of interest to our newest dancers.
CALENDAR - We rent our barn to other square, round and line dancing
organizations as well as caller schools etc. so it shows ALL the activities
held at the barn.
LINKS PAGE - This page is an
overall list of organizations in New England
that can be used as an additional resource if you can’t find your dance on
the other pages. Some of these pages
are also the source of information we post on our pages.
CASDC, WACA, EDSARDA - These are the
umbrella organizations to which Hayloft Belongs. These organizations
list all planed dances to prevent conflicts of major events.
