Graduation
is not without its more solemn moments.
Here, Matt McGovern (who also does calling at some of our
dances) charges our new members with their duties as a new member at
one of the four stations.

Of
course we do have initiations at the Hayloft.
“Trust
me; we wouldn’t want to loose any new members.”

Our
intrepid new students have been told
there
are raw eggs on the floor.
Plus,
note that our students are tied together

to make things a bit more interesting

Of
course we believe in fair play so of course our students get to do a
bit of hazing on their own. All
this while poor Bill continues calling to the rest of the club

the way to go Bill, show us some skirtwork. Actually, it hard enough for a
gentleman to dance the lady’s part
But
it’s a lot harder in a dress.

to the serious business of dancing

Yes,
everyone has a good time during graduation.
The
hayloft tries to have classes year round. If no new dancers show up there is
always time for a good workshop.
