Dear Hayloft Renter, 4-15-08 First, let us tell you how much we appreciate your business at the Hayloft. Your continued patronage is extremely valuable to us and we regard you as “Part of the Team” that makes the Hayloft a success. We are trying
very hard to hold the line on costs in order to make us an affordable option
for your activity. As you might imagine, the cost of
everything we do has increased dramatically;
utilities, insurance, and general maintenance have all risen disproportionably
over this past year, but we are able to absorb those increases at this
time. We are asking your help in keeping your rent reasonable. Recently we have noticed that counter tops in the kitchen are left dirty. For instance, there have been coffee stains and sugar on the food preparation and serving surfaces. Also we have observed large bits of trash on both the carpeted and dance floors. In an effort to provide you with a safe and clean venue to dance we are considering hiring a clean-up person that would come in after each event and spruce things up. This service would be in addition to our regularly scheduled cleaning and maintenance that we currently perform. Naturally we do not have the funds for such a venture and we would have to pass those costs along to each renter. Would you please help us avoid that contingency? We are asking that you pay particular attention to the housekeeping items mentioned above and perform any other courtesies that you feel would be appropriate. Finally, please let us know of anything at the club that may be “bugging” you. Perhaps all that is needed is good communication between us to solve those small problems.
